Multifilaments:

–Wilson Sensation– Wilson Sensation is a firm feeling multi-filament.  It is a great all around string at an affordable price.

–Wilson NXT– Wilson NXT is a very soft, premium multi-filament.

–Solinco Vanquish– Solinco Vanquish is a soft, yet crisp multi-filament string.  Great choice for hybriding with a poly.

–Solinco Tru Feel– Solinco Tru Feel is a new multi-filament that has a blue ribbon running through it.  This gives it the look of old school gut.  Tru Feel is very soft and has a slightly “muted” feel to it.  It is very durable for a multi-filament.

–Gamma Live Wire XP–  Gamma Live Wire XP is a crisp, durable multi-filament.

–Gamma Professional– Gamma Professional is a premium multi-filament string that is very versatile.  It is soft but not mushy.

–Babolat Excel– Babolat Excel is Babolat’s premium multi-filament string.  It is very soft.

 

Monofilaments:

–Forten Nylon– Forten Nylon is a no-frills mono-filament.

–Solinco Pro Stacked– Solinco Pro Stacked is a very soft mono-filament.  It is a great string for those who like the soft feel of a multi-filament but need the durability of a mono-filament.

–Gosen OG Sheep Micro– Gosen OG Sheep Micro is a crisp and durable mono-filament.  This is the string that JT has used in his racquet for years.

–Prince Synthetic Gut W/Duraflex– Prince Synthetic Gut W/Duraflex was one of the first mono-filament synthetic gut strings on the scene.  It is a classic, crisp feeling synthetic.

–Prince Lightning– Lightning is another great option (like Solinco Pro Stacked) for those who want the soft feel of a multi-filament but the durability of a mono-filament.  It comes in some fun colors and is slightly metallic in appearence.

–Prince Lightning Spin– Lightning Spin is the same string as Lightning but with some added texture for enhanced spin.  It is a new string on the market and has had considerable success since it’s debut.

 

Polyesters:

–Babolat RPM Blast– Babolat RPM Blast is a new string that has an octagonal shape for added spin potential.  It is a softer polyester string and offers good power along with control.

–Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour– Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour is a very firm feeling polyester string designed for control.

–Luxilon Alu Power (rough)– Luxilon Alu Power is another string that is very, very firm.  It is a control string that was all the rage on tour a few years ago.

–Solinco Barb Wire– Solinco Barb Wire is a hot new string that is very similar to Babolat RPM Blast.  It is softer and is twisted and cut for added spin.  Many top ranked juniors are switching over to this string.

–Solinco Tour Bite– Solinco Tour Bite is currently being used by the men’s tennis teams at Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern and others.  It is very firm like Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour and Luxilon Alu Power and is cut sharp (to the touch) for added spin.

–Solinco Revolution– Solinco Revolution is a string that is very “middle of the road” in terms of feel.  It is a good compromise (not too soft and not too firm).  Like Tour Bite, it also is cut sharp for added spin potential.  Currently, Revolution is the official string for the Pepperdine and UCLA men’s tennis teams.

–Solinco Outlast– Solinco Outlast is the softest and most durable polyester that Solinco makes.
